Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a comprehensive implementation strategy for the land resource management component of the project, ensuring it aligns with overall project goals and objectives.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to field teams for the effective implementation of the strategy.
• Conduct assessments and gather relevant data regarding land resource management.
• Identify challenges and opportunities related to land resource management in the project areas.
• Enhance the capacity of field teams by organizing training sessions and continuous learning opportunities related to land resource management.
• Assist in the development of training materials and manuals as needed.

• Conduct regular field visits to monitor the progress of land management initiatives such as soil conservation, reforestation, sustainable agriculture, and water resource management.

• Compile progress reports and document lessons learned and best practices.
• Facilitate coordination among project stakeholders i.e. Agriculture, Forrest, Irrigation etc, to ensure the integration of land resource management activities.
• Represent the project in meetings, forums, and workshops related to land resource management.
• Document and disseminate successful practices and lessons learned to inform future programming.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Forest, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in land resource management, sustainable agriculture, or related sectors.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing land management strategies in rural settings.
• Strong understanding of natural resource management, soil conservation, and land use planning.
• Excellent capacity-building and training skills, with experience working with diverse teams.
• Strong report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
