Objective of Consultancy:

The Senior HR Coordinator is responsible for aiding HR functions for the project in compliance with local labor laws and company policies and procedures. The incumbent will help in recruitment, benefits, employee relations, compliance, performance appraisal, medical insurance, internal communication and training, and other initiatives as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Senior HR Coordinator, the consultant is responsible for the following principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Director FOC & HR in conducting the recruitment process of short-term and long-term local employees in compliance with established procedures and regulations, including but not limited to creating job descriptions and interview questions, shortlisting and pre-screening candidates as well as conducting reference checks, memo making, negotiating offers, and creating hire packs for all new hires for review by Senior Director FOC & HR.
  • Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in, and are familiar with, timesheet procedures and policies.
  • Ensure personnel and recruitment files are maintained according to company policies and procedures and in a manner that ensures confidentiality.
  • Assist Senior Director FOC & HR and ensure procedures are communicated and followed.
  • Assist Senior Director FOC & HR in making HR policies and operating procedures and disseminating and train staff on proper implementation.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director FOC & HR to facilitate effective communication with staff, ensure compliance with labor laws, and foster a positive and thriving work environment for all employees.
  • Assist Senior Director FOC & HR in Managing and administering benefits according to appropriate plans and local labor laws requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Director FOC & HR on disciplinary process as necessary to ensure all actions comply with local labor laws and company policies; coordinate with home office staff, as necessary.
  • Assist the Senior Director FOC & HR in probationary and annual performance assessment process and ensure procedures are communicated and followed.

Required Skills & Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in progressive Human Resource roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resource management concepts and best practices.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws, ability to interpret local labor laws.
  • Demonstrated versatility, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong diligence, high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy, and communications skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain databases.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is required.
