The Role

The Manager Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation (M&E) will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools to measure the effectiveness of Teach For Pakistan’s (TFP) programs as well as the organization at large. They will also be leading the research component at TFP to evaluate the impact of the program.

Additionally, the Manager Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation will be required to work cross- functionally to understand and own the implementation of organization-wide systems and processes to drive a data-driven culture.

Primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Design new systems and update existing monitoring and evaluation systems, strategies, and frameworks to assess progress on programmatic and organizational goals in line with Teach For Pakistan’s theory of change.
  • To design and develop tools to gather data & information required for measuring the short-term and long-term impact of our work on our students, classrooms, community (local and national), Fellows, and Alumni.
  • To be the lead on Teach for Pakistan’s Learning loop – a mechanism by which we inform our work by learning from our Fellow’s as well as our team members’ successes and achievements.
  • To lead the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation activities – including collection, compilation, documentation as well as leading, training and supporting the team of additional personnel involved.
  • Based on the evaluation results, present an analytical report to the different teams not only highlighting achievement and outcomes but also strong recommendations on areas of learning and growth to further strengthen the movement.
  • To collaborate with different teams – mainly recruitment, training, and alumni leadership to design internal evaluation and monitoring mechanisms that feed into the organization’s larger M&E Framework.Lead the communication on Research and M&E areas for all external stakeholders of Teach For Pakistan.
  • Lead rigorous analysis of data generated across the organization to derive learnings about the organization’s impact, progress on goals, create feedback loops and promote a culture of evidence-based decision making.

The    ideal    candidate    will     have  the    following    qualifications,    orientations,    and    experience:

  • Minimum Masters in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Education, or equivalent with a strong statistical analysis background
  • 4-5 years of work experience in a relevant role
  • Familiarity with quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods study designs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of using quantitative and qualitative tools for analysis (Excel, Stata, R, SPSS, NVivo)
  • Prior experience in managing teams
  • Strong orientation of making data-driven decisions with strong critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong orientation to learn independently and quickly
  • Deeply committed to social change through efforts to ensure equity in education.
