Job Summary: The Social Mobilizer will be responsible for engaging and mobilizing flood-affected communities in Multan. The role involves supporting beneficiary identification, facilitating relief distributions, ensuring community participation, and strengthening accountability mechanisms. The Social Mobilizer will act as a bridge between the project team and the community to ensure that project activities are implemented effectively, inclusively, and in alignment with PMS’s safeguarding and accountability standards.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize and engage flood-affected communities for participation in project activities.
  • Support in beneficiary identification, verification, and registration in coordination with local leaders and authorities.
  • Facilitate awareness sessions on relief distribution processes, entitlements, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Ensure inclusivity, giving special attention to women, children, elderly, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Assist the project team in organizing and conducting food and NFI distribution events.
  • Establish and promote community feedback and complaints mechanisms.
  • Collect field-level information, success stories, and feedback for monitoring and reporting purposes.
  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Conduct GBV Sessions and other activities related to GBV
  • Represent the concerns and priorities of affected communities to the project management team.
  • Prepare activity reports and provide timely updates to the Project Manager.

Note: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as per project needs.

Job Specifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Relevant training or certification in community mobilization is an asset.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in community mobilization or social work (preferably in humanitarian or emergency response projects).
  • Experience in relief distribution or emergency settings will be considered an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage vulnerable communities.
  • Good facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and social dynamics of affected communities.
  • Basic reporting and documentation skills.
  • Team player with strong coordination abilities.
