A.       Duties and responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, the Senior Social Mobilizer (Female) will:

1. Assess and analyze the type, nature and extent of rural organizations (Local Support Organizations-LSOs, Village Organizations-VOs, and Community Organizations-COs) present in Roodh Mulazai Catchment of Barshore Watershed, District Pishin (Pishin Lora Basin).
2. Undertake rapid rural appraisal of rural organizations (Local Support Organizations-LSOs, Village Organizations-VOs, and Community Organizations-COs) present in Roodh Mulazai Catchment of Barshore Watershed, District Pishin (Pishin Lora Basin)
3. Prepare a need assessment report for IWRM implementation especially in water management, kitchen gardening, high efficiency irrigation system, participatory rangeland management, agriculture crop production and livestock protection and production.
4. Prepare a capacity building plan for the rural communities with their participation in accordance with the IWRM principles and practices.
5. Implement agreed capacity building plan for the rural communities with their participation in accordance with the IWRM principles and practices.
6. Coordinate with the Pishin Lora River Basin and District Water Committee Pishin.
7. Facilitate establishment of Co Management Committee for participation in implementation of Pishin Lora Basin and Aquifer Plan.
8. Any other task assigned by the Team Leader or his representative.

1. B.    Duration of Assignment

The period of engagement is 66 working days initially, with a possibility of extension if mutually agreed.

1. C.    Required Skills and Competencies

• A minimum of degree (16 years) in Social Sciences or closely related subject. Master degree (18 years) in Social Sciences or closely related subject will be given preference.
• At least 10 years of practical experience in working with local rural women organizations at grassroot level in Balochistan in water management, kitchen gardening, agriculture, livestock, rangeland management, enterprise development, public private partnership or any other related subject.
• Fluency in local language spoken in Roodh Mulazai i.e. Pashto.
• Familiar with social mobilization processes and practices for forming and supporting rural organizations.     
• Proven experience in collecting and organizing data and information related to natural resources management.
• Good presentation & interpersonal skills.
• Analytical & Report writing skills.
• Willing to undertake travel and fieldwork.
