Key responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility & Assistance in technical Survey and compilation of accurate data for the designing of Micro Hydro Power projects, Irrigation Schemes and other Land Resource Management (LRM) related schemes. 
  • Assist the District, Regional and design teams in technical designing and ensuring adherence to the approved project standards.
  • Undertake field visits for technical feasibility studies & inspecting the schemes under execution to ensure adherence to safety protocols, implement design specifications, ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects in the field.
  • Coordinate with concerned communities, Consultants (3rd party), contractors, and local authorities.
  • Prepare and submit physical & financial progress reports to project managers and stakeholders and track the progress accordingly.
  • Inspecting quality of materials supplied and used for:
    • the construction activities including, earthworks, concrete works, steel and pavement works, monitoring all production of materials and raises non-conformances where applicable.
    • the Electro-Mechanical parts i.e., Turbines, Penstock, Alternators, Panel boards, Transformers, poles, conductor etc. supplied and used for the establishment of Micro Hydro Power Project.
    • Assist in reviewing Bill of Quantities, Budgets, Design and estimates for hydropower, irrigation and other LRM related schemes.
    • Verification and certification of the work done as per site.
    • Monitoring the testing and commissioning of the EME/TLE equipment.
    • Regular field visit to track the progress on ground for construction and EME/TLE installation.

Qualification required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) Engineering, or related fields from HEC recognized university or relevant subject
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 6+ years relevant experience in Hydropower, Irrigation and LRM related projects construction and management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging field environments, including remote areas.
