Key responsibilities

  • Ensure site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for Hydropower, Irrigation and LRM related projects in collaboration with District and design teams.
  • Lead the District/Regional Technical team in design and development of Hydropower, Irrigation and Land Resource Management(LRM) related projects, including feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction supervision.
  • Support the design team in design of project components including diversion weir, intake, connecting channel, headrace channel, desander, forebay / surge tank, penstock, tailrace, electro-mechanical equipment and transmission and distribution networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement and construction teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff for implementation of the project.
  • Ensuring quality work, timely completion through follow up visits.
  • Preparation and submission of physical and financial progress reports to concerned section and offices and tracking of progress on its basis.
  • Manage and coordinate with concerned community, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.

 

Qualification required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from HEC recognized university.
  • Professional certification or ability to obtain.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in Hydropower Irrigation and LRM related engineering projects, with a focus on design, construction, and operation.
  • Strong knowledge & experience of Hydraulics, Hydrology, and water resources engineering principles.
  • Expertise in Hydropower, Irrigation and LRM related system design, construction and operation.
  • Experience with CAD software, hydraulic modeling, and water resources simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
