The job description/role of SHA Coordinator: 

a.         Coordination and strengthen Self Help Approach work in Pakistan

  • To learn, understand, and communicate the principles and concepts of our Child Rights Approaches and funding modalities to relevant stakeholders and partner organizations. This will include understanding and explaining the methods of community development and women's empowerment through the Self-Help Approach. 
  • Support the management in the development and implementation of the Country Strategy in all dimensions (e.g. CRSA, Administration, and Logistics).
  • Facilitation in Organizational Assessments for potential partners. Provide orientation to partners/projects about organization’s policies and procedures, and new developments in the rules, regulations, policies in Pakistan.
  • To develop a plan in consultation with the Country Manager aligned with Project Management Cycle.
  • Regular visits to the partners organizations and project areas to monitor program implementation and provide technical feedback to partners and Country Manager in all target areas of SHA.
  • To oversee the management, implementation and administration of the projects being carried out by the implementing partners.

-       The monitoring of the projects on a regular basis

-       Coordinating the network amongst the partner organisations and with other relevant stakeholders and promotion of organization at all levels

-       Reporting to the Country Manager about the implementation of the programs as well as important developments related to the work field

-       Ensure the partners’ programs to adhere to organization’s standards and guidelines in close coordination with the Country ManagerIdentification of opportunities to promote SHA on different occasions.  

  • Review and give technical feedback on project proposals, programme reports, budgets and all documentation regarding the projects. Also, active participation in preparation of annual planning and budgeting of overall programme.
  • Review the implementation of Impact Monitoring Policy and Child Protection Policy at partner level and provide technical feedback to partners, and Country Manager. 
  • Identify capacity gaps of organization’s partners/projects in programme management, implementation and Child Protection Policies as per organization’s guidelines and organized capacity building trainings.
  • Oversee overall program plan implementation as per the M&E standards and review the same to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Organize and conduct trainings/workshops for the partners/projects on identifies training needs.
  • Organize sensitization programs/meetings as need arises in respective areas of SHA.
  • Visit SHGs trainings by promoting organization and give vital feedback.
  • Organize exposure visits of SHGs, facilitators and project officers among partners and to other organizations within the framework of SHA.
  • Facilitation in organizing forum/meetings for KNH-Pakistan and partner organizations. 
  • Facilitate in preparing partner organizations for lobbying and advocacy. 
  • Prepare training materials.
  • Participate and represent KNH in different workshops and seminars. 
  • Promote the Self-Help Approach concept with government and civil society organizations in close coordination with Country Manager and KNH Pakistan Office.
  • Close coordination and facilitation with the consultants involved in any evaluation or research studies to make the quality of reports according to national and international standards.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Country Manager.

 b.         Reporting and other duties: 

  • Prepare a report on each monitoring visit carried out and submit it to Country Manager within a period of one week following the visit;
  • Inform about any irregularities or similar difficulties encountered during monitoring visits or through other channels without delay and suggest the way forward;
  • Inform about new developments in the programmatic rules, regulations, policies etc. in Pakistan
  • Facilitate on activity reports carried out for organization (quarterly, bi-annually and annually) or as need arises and submit them to Country Manager in time.
  • Prepare financial expenditure reports related to expenses incurred in the field and share with Country Manager on monthly or quarterly basis
  • Participate regularly in meetings, trainings, workshops and forums organized by KNH at National level and all-over working area of KNH in Pakistan.  
  • Compile the Quarterly Database of SHA 
  • Collect and consolidate reports from the promoting organizations in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and sharing of report to the Country Manager.

 c.          Other Duties:

  • Participate in facilitation of visits by national and international staff.
  • Participate regularly in meetings, trainings, workshops and forums organized by the organization at National level or all-over KNH working area in Pakistan.  
  • Logistics responsibility and other duties: 
  • You will be required to undertake some logistics responsibilities as well, when and where is required. 
  • Important Notes: 
    • The job description is subject to any refinement as need arises. 
    • You may be required to work on other assignments as per the need of Country Office.
    • You may be required in the field of programme/projects most of your working hours in this job.

 d.           Other Duties:

                             i.       Confidentiality - Maintain confidentiality of all information, records, communication, assets, partners, staff and plans of the organization. 

                            ii.       Non-Criminal Record – The candidate must not be involved in any criminal or any anti-social activity. 

                           iii.       Child Abuse – The candidate must not be involved in any act against child rights and any form of child abuse. 

 e.   Requirements:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in the relevant field i.e., Social Sciences, Project Management or equivalent. Candidates must have HEC verified degrees and mark sheets. 
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Well versed in English and Urdu (written and spoken). Spoken or written proficiency in other regional languages would be an added value.
  • Willing to work extended and non-traditional hours. 
  • Willingness to travel as and when required in city or outstation.
