Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive plan for multiple projects, ensuring they are well-organized, aligned with organizational goals, and effectively monitored throughout their lifecycle.
  • Determine appropriate strategies and objectives for project implementation, considering factors such as project scope, resources, and desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate coordination and collaboration between different departments and external stakeholders, such as donors, to ensure their active involvement and smooth execution of activities.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to generate necessary documents and adhere to recruitment processes outlined in project proposals and action plans.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of required reports to donors, adhering to the set time schedule as mentioned in the project documents.
  • Establish and manage project timelines, budgets, and activities to ensure project progress and successful completion.
  • Compile and provide comprehensive reports to the program director, highlighting project status, achievements, challenges, and any relevant updates.
  • Ensure all requirements are met for seamless fund transitions from donors, coordinating with relevant departments to meet deadlines and fulfill funding obligations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, ensuring they have the necessary support, resources, and direction to effectively manage their projects.
  • Proactively identify and manage project changes, risks, and resource allocations to minimize disruptions and optimize project outcomes.
  • Oversee the management of project teams and vendors, ensuring their performance, adherence to project goals, and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate program performance, measure outcomes against objectives, and identify opportunities to maximize return on investment.
  • Address and resolve complex issues and challenges that may arise during project implementation, taking into account the broader impact on the program.
  • Identify and assess project risks, implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skill Set:

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to motivate others.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and flexibility.

Experience:

  • University degree (preferably master’s or PhD) from an accredited academic institution in Education, with a specialization in refugee education.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a relevant position.
