Position Objectives: Under the direct supervision of the DD PGI & CEA, the position contributes to increase the capacity of  Staff & Volunteers to integrate protection, gender and inclusion policies and tools across program areas in order to reduce gender and diversity inequality, gender discrimination and gender- based violence. The position would provide technical support in mainstreaming Protection, Gender and Diversity analysis, considerations into all programmes and services.

Assist DD PGI & CEA in strengthening community empowerment and accountability mechanisms and to drive effective humanitarian initiatives that foster trust, inclusivity, and resilience within the communities the organization serves.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

 

To assist DD-PGI & CEA on prevention, mitigation and response to sexual and gender-based violence to technical  teams/focal points, including support to evidence-based initiatives, emergency preparedness and response programmes/plans

 

To assist DD-PGI & CEA and coordinate mainstreaming of PGI & CEA and in consolidating efforts for PGI & CEA in response to emergencies

 

  • To implement PGI Minimum Standards, reduce PGI & CEA risks in the operational environment, and build sustainable local capacity.

 

  • Support other programs in multi-sectoral needs assessments to ensure that PGI & CEA related information will be collect sensitively, safely, analyzed and findings will be document securely.

 

Implementation and monitoring of the program activities as per annual budget and LFM.

 

Assist DD-PGI & CEA in establishing and updating PGI & CEA guidelines, data processing procedures, PGI & CEA forms and templates & ensure PGI & CEA staff and volunteers have necessary access to them.

 

Contribute to training/coaching and development of the PGI & CEA staff and volunteers at National and provincial level. When needed, provide support to PHQ PGI & CEA Focal person in conducting capacity building activities for staff and volunteers

 

Contribute to identifying PGI & CEA success stories to promote & Liase with COM unit

 

Conduct field levels conflict sensitivity analysis exercise with relevant stakeholders and ensure the programmes “Do no harm” in their communities.

 

Ensure gender, age and diversity analysis is done and updated regularly to respond to beneficiaries needs.

 

Contribute to internal and external reporting on program activities, progress and monitoring including to monthly narrative and financial reports.

 

Conduct and document gender and diversity analyses and assessments of operations and identify best practices

 

Assist the PMER team and the project PMER technical advisor to ensure institutional monitoring systems and tools reflect gender equality / equity and inclusion objectives and data requirements for analysis of all response programs and projects.

 

Undertake a gender assessment of ongoing activities, including the identification of potential and existing strengths that can be advantage to improve access to women and girls and other marginalized groups: report will highlight lessons learned, key regional bottlenecks and potential solutions.

 

Contribute to setting priorities and deadlines, organizing the work, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring results and lessons learnt

 

Contribute to updating stakeholder mapping and ensure MoM of meetings conducted are shared timely with team

 

Contribute to building and maintaining contacts with external stakeholders to promote PGI & CEA activities and provide necessary information when needed

Education

Masters/16 years of education in Social Sciences preferably Gender, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology, International Relations and Law. 

 Experience.

  • 3 years’ working experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Preference will be given to a person with experience of protection program planning
  • Ability to work in complex situations and capable of managing team work during emergencies
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Urdu

Skills/ Knowledge

  • Good computer skills, inclusive of Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication skills

Traveling.

Flexibility to travel into the fields for conduct of monitoring & other related tasks.
