Know our team:

Nutrition International’s Operations unit is a dedicated team of program implementation experts who are responsible for contributing to the overall management of NI’s field operations in Asia and Africa. This position will report to National Program Officer -Maternal Adolescent Newborn and Child Health and Nutrition, Pakistan, and will be supporting the NPO, Provincial Coordinators and program partners including consultants with timely and effective implementation of the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health program.

About you:

You have a Master’s degree in Medicine, Nutrition, Public health, Sociology/ International Development or other related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with or within public health systems, particularly in the areas of nutrition, and maternal, new-born and child health. You should be fluent in Urdu, English and provincial languages (preferred).

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Develop/ strengthen inter-provincial coordination mechanisms between stakeholders of the Department of Health, vertical programs such as Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Program; National Program for Family Planning and Primary Health Care and Nutrition Units/Cells and relevant NGO partners for improved program performance.
  • Ensure strategic planning under guidance of NPO for timely implementation of the Annual Work plan activities, including M&E activities, meetings including reviews, visits to project area and facilities.
  • Consolidate provincial training plans in coordination with the partners, IPs and Government departments in timely manner.
  • Facilitate and ensure smooth and effective maintenance of supply chain mechanism for uninterrupted supply and distribution on regular basis to the project sites of: IFA tablet and; Training instruments and communication material
  • Support the provincial staff in collecting monthly data at project sites, ensure data collected is reliable, the project database is filled and shared with the National Program Manager.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of the project against objectives outlined in the project using methods and tools developed/ shared by NI
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the National Program Manager, organize and carry out monthly project review meetings with provincial project staff.
