The Position:

The Manager of Training and Communication will report directly to the Program Manager to ensure the high-quality implementation of all training and communication activities across targeted districts in Balochistan.

Significance:

The position of the will be under the overall program manager.  Manager Training and Communications not just looking the program specific activities but will also ensure ’s Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) to deliver project results and works as part of the organization’s mission and objectives.

Specific Responsibilities:

a)       The BCC and Training coordinator will manage the BCC & Training plans in close coordination with The Project manager and PR to ensure the smooth implementation of the activities by: As a focal point of BCC & Training, s/he will oversee all aspects of BCC & training elements and delivery in line with objectives, budgets, timelines and standards of the project.  

b)      Design and develop Training and BCC plans, materials and products with appropriate branding and compliance with PR guidelines. 

c)       Organize capacity building sessions for BCC officers for preparation of advocates and oversight to replication of trainings at district levels as well as regular technical guidance and support for smooth implementation of the BCC activates. 

d)      Ensure that monitoring system tools, checklists, indicators, reporting formats are in place to track progress/results/outputs against planned initiatives.

e)      Undertake field visits to districts to oversee implementation of training and BCC activities and provide on-site feedback for required improvements and generate field visit reports with timely and appropriate follow up on action points.

f)        Conduct periodic project reviews and prepare project reports for management and outside as and when required. 

g)       Lead the Training, BCC and influencing component of the project using field evidence as well as coordination and representation of  at different forums and platforms. 

h)      Support and facilitate media in design, development and delivery of organizational Training and BCC work. 

 

III.  Coordination

 The Manager Training and Communication ensures smooth communication between all partners and stakeholders in MCP including the government, civil society and partners by:

 Ensuring implementing partners working on related activities are communicating adequately with each other to minimize duplication and enhance synergies. 

  1. Work closely with the regional and district health management teams, the government and other relevant partners in to ensure effective planning, implementation and monitoring of the project activities and shared results.
  2. Communicating with partners implementing Programmes in to identify effective solutions to common challenges.
  3. Participate in all quarterly coordination meetings at district level and address any bottlenecks. 
  4. Contribute to the process of quarterly and annual programme reviews of the MCP in targeted districts through preparation of various documents and sharing of progress of implementation and lessons learnt.
  5. Contribute to national and regional meetings where ’s experience on project progress as well as challenges can be shared.
  6. Undertake any other assignments as may be requested by the senior manager and ’s management.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Master’s degree with sufficient community interaction experience of 5-6 years
  • Be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Have high energy, clear goal orientation and strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands

Experience and Education:

  • Masters, with 5-6 years of experience in relevant field
