Data Analyst TORs

REMIT is working with FBR to help them improve their data governance and compliance risk management system by incorporating advanced data security protocols and risk management techniques in their systems.

For these purposes, REMIT is looking to onboard a Data Analyst to work closely with the FBR and REMIT team to make new systems at the institution to improve data governance, data security and compliance risk management and oversee their implementation.  

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities of the Data Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design and develop a pilot risk engine using advanced data science and machine learning techniques, such as isolation forests, nearest neighbours, standard normal distributions, and clustering techniques.
• Test and evaluate the pilot risk engine using historical data to ensure its functionality, effectiveness, and accuracy in anomaly detection.
• Implement the pilot risk engine and closely monitor its performance, evaluating and optimising it based on real-time results and feedback.
• Make new compliance risk management and data governance systems that solve existing problems at FBR.
• Maintain complete documentation to ensure effective communication between the team at REMIT and FBR.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis
• Skilled in programming languages such as Python, C++, C
• Past experience working with reputable national or international organisations
• Strong review and analysis skills, with the ability to review technical documents and identify and map key recommendations and actions.
  • Excellent record keeping, report writing, communications, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English.

Reporting

The “Data Analyst” will report to REMIT Core Team and Tax lead.
