USAID’s Pakistan Power Sector Improvement Activity (PSIA) is seeking Business Analyst for its project office located in Lahore, Pakistan

Working together with Pakistan-based subcontractors, PSIA will support Pakistani government efforts to transition to a competitive power market; improve energy transmission and distribution system operations; optimize the use of grid electricity and increase the share of renewable energy production and energy efficiency utilization in the country’s energy mix. Key considerations for the PSIA Activity include more fully engaging the private sector, coordinating with Pakistani and regionally based stakeholders, ensuring environmental compliance and climate risk management, and promoting gender equality.
This position is responsible for working with functional leaders, business requirements and commercial value. The role will then examine business models/ processes and flows of data and coordinate relevant development team to produce designs, functional specifications, and test plans for new system.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Capture and document requirements in a structured and effective manner
- Coordinate the creation of technical documents to ease and enable effective development i.e. process mapping, user stories, list of scenarios, exceptions
- Translate requirements into well-defined technical specifications in a consumable format, using terminology understandable for developers
- Contribution and coordination of project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (business and system requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan)
- Process Management and Improvement (BPR) - Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives (BPR) to implement best practices
- Drive productive relationships with customers, partners and stake-holders ensuring good communication and documentation skills for all the accounts handled
- Support Project Manager/ Delivery Team in delivering the solution to the customer
- Define and plan project milestones, phases and different elements involved in the project
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction through quality deliverable on time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent is mandatory.
- Master’s Degree in relevant field an asset
- 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst designing and launching high quality software projects
- Experience of the full project cycle, integrating customer scopes into product requirements and driving prioritization
- Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced motivational, negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional, global environment
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
