“Pakistan Free and Inclusive Representation Project (PFAIR)” KP Pak Women - IFES

A national NGO is inviting for applications for the following position of its project “Pakistan Fair and Inclusive representation Program (PFAIR)”. The project is being implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s newly merged districts Khyber, Bajaur, Kurram, Orakzai and Mohmand.

-          Master Trainers (8 positions)

The above positions are part time with Pak Women. The engagement of the Master trainer would be attending two Training of Trainers (TOTs) and delivery of training sessions in respective KP districts as per set material and manual by the Pak Women.

6. JOB SUMMARY:

Master trainer will be responsible for attending following two TOTs by IFES and conduction of trainings as mentioned in section 9 (a) in five newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province namely Khyber, Bajaur, Kurram, Orakzai and Mohmand.

  1. Training of Trainers (TOT) for Elected Women Trainings (4 Days).
  2. Training of Trainers (TOT) for Male Allies Trainings (3 Days).

7. AUTHORITIES ASSIGNED:

Financial: He/she will request to his/her project manager for any financial commitment or needs.  Project Manager will further approve and process such requests by the Master Trainer.

Technical: Will be responsible for successful delivery of the training sessions in all assigned districts.

8. Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills, Languages

  1. Qualification at least graduate.
  2. Preferably have knowledge of electoral system particularly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 
  3. Pakistani national, fluent in written and spoken English, Urdu and Pashtu. Pashtu language would be preferable
  4. Understanding of local languages, Knowledge of geographical area and cultural values would be preferable.
  5. Preferably have law background. 
  6. At least 3 years’ experience as master trainer at different platforms.
  7. Willingness to conduct minimum 4 trainings of 3 days with elected women and male allies.
  8. Proficiency in use of computers, including online applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and excellent typing (English)/ photography skills. 
  9. Excellent communication skills and experience in writing field reports.
  10. Knowledge of relevant political rights field(s) (women’s voting rights; and women electoral participation in General Elections.
  11.  Knowledge of electoral legal framework of Pakistan will be an added qualification.

Technical Competencies:

  1. Preferably have knowledge of electoral system

a) 9. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Local Government Elected Women Trainings Training topics may include features and functions of electoral system, raising funds, constituency building in rural areas, responding to hate speech online etc.
  2. Male Allies – Allies for Equality, focusing women and marginalized groups, i.e. women, young adults, people with disabilities and transgender people, NIC/voter registration campaign, voter education outreach, communicating the importance of inclusive voter turnout and encouraging men to support their female family and community members.
  3. To attend training of trainers (TOT) for Elected Women Trainings (4 Days).
  4. To attend training of trainers (TOT) for male allies trainings (3Days).
  5. To conduct three days districts level trainings for elected women.
  6. To conduct two days districts level trainings for male allies.
  7. To cooperate with program team for smooth implementation of the trainings
  8. Master trainer will be responsible for pre-test and post-test forms from all participants of the training.
  9. Master trainers will be responsible for filling of training evaluation form at the last day of the trainings.
  10. Submission of all relevant MOVs (pre-test and post-test forms) against each training to the logistic cum project officer.
  11. MTs are responsible to conduct the assigned training on the given time period.

10. DOCUMENTATION/ ANY OTHER FACTORS:

Documentation:

  1. MOVs (Pre-test and post-test) submission of all trainings.
  2. Two page reports on TOTs.
  3. One pager submission on lessons learnt, modification/ addition needed to the training manuals(s)/ material after each field level training.
  4. Submission of training evaluation/feedback forms after each field level training.

Use of PC/Laptop, internet, attend emergency meetings, trainings, visit to other areas,
