The organization based at Islamabad committed to empowering individuals with disabilities (PwDs) working in the areas of supply chain management, specialized services, capacity building, research and development, advocacy /awareness and social inclusion of marginalized communities in Pakistan. The organization is registered as not for profit with SECP under section 42, government of Pakistan.

Position Overview: The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for optimizing the organization in supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of ortho-products. He/She will work closely with various departments to streamline operations and enhance overall performance. coordinates shipments and works to improve supply chain processes in the  organization. Procures materials and manages order prices and quantities; receives shipments and organizes inventories; forecasts demand, responds to changes in demand, and resolves supply chain issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
  • Implement inventory management techniques to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

Procurement:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and pricing.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure smooth movement of goods from suppliers to partner organizations.
  • Monitor warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory management and order fulfillment.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including disruptions in supply, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and minimize their impact on operations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize processes across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degreein Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven  5 years or more experience in supply chain management,  local and international procurement ( Import /export), and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

Reporting: The Supply Chain Specialist will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization.

Duration and Location: This position is full-time and based at Islamabad however may require travel to the field in Pakistan in order to meet the requirement of Partner organizations.
