Our primary focus lies in elevating the healthcare sector in Pakistan, where we operate as a catalyst for achieving improved health and well-being, reducing inequality, bolstering rural health, managing disasters, conducting research and advocacy and mobilizing global resources to address local needs nationwide. Our aim is to equip the population to withstand the far-reaching impacts that extend beyond health into livelihood, nutrition, climate, education and other aspects that can indirectly aid health development. We align our initiatives with various development goals tailored to strengthen the healthcare system.

 

Job Summary:

 

Dopasi Foundation is seeking a highly qualified and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Advisor. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining strong working relationship and meaningful liaison with the Government authorities including all the relevant Government departments/ bodies at provincial and district levels (special focus on the Department of Health, Government of Sindh) and other key stakeholders and partners. The responsibilities include:

 

  • Facilitate in building and maintaining positive and harmonious relationships with the relevant Government departments and other relevant governmental bodies with special focus on the Provincial and District departments of health.
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, finalizing and signing of the required legal documents including the Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) between the Dopasi Foundation and the Department of Health or and any other Provincial Government’s Department, and any other such type of collaborative agreements/ documents as and when needed.
  • Communicate and keep the organization’s core team well aware and updated regarding any relevant policy changes, circulars, by-laws, instructions, and governmental priorities in the province.
  • Provide support to the organization’s field staff in building and maintaining good relationships with the district governmental bodies (departments, municipalities, etc.) and other relevant influential partners.
  • Facilitate in organizing and conducting large-scale meetings, roundtables, events and also ensure the participation of high-level policy makers, bureaucrats, politicians including the chief guests.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of the project activities, ensuring the required support from the Government.
  • Any other need-based duties/ responsibilities assigned by the Director Programs or his/her designee.

 

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master’s or equivalent degree in social sciences or other relevant discipline. Candidates with a foreign degree in Public Health are highly desirable.
  • At least ten years of relevant experience working on donor-funded projects.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships, collaboration and liaison with Government authorities and other influential partners and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of government departments’ key requirements, norms and regulations.
  • Effective personnel management, coordination, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to be accountable for all aspects of the activity.
  • Strong software skills such as MS Office will be preferred.
