JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Resource Mobilization and Fund Raising Coordinator
Location: Islamabad, Pakistan (with occasional travel)
Line Manager : Country Director
Day to Day Management; On daily basis this position reports to and is managed by Head of Programme (HoP)
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Resource mobilization and Fund raising coordinator oversees the funding portfolio for the Country Office, and actively seeks new funding opportunities, supports the Country Director, Head of Programme (HoP) and other senior staff with donor engagement, and leads proposal development.
MAIN TASKS
Funding Portfolio Planning and Management:
- Assess the donor and funding landscape in [country and region] to analyse the funding pipeline. Establish and regularly update mapping of relevant donors and their strategies.
- Contribute to overall strategy, programme, and project development processes to strengthen Organization vis-à-vis the donor and funding landscape.
- Maintain and strengthen current donor relationships and actively form new relationships with donors.
Fundraising:
- Initiate and maintain relationships with donors, together with relevant staff.
- Proactively identify funding opportunities and ensure that these are assessed
- Manage concept notes and proposal design processes, including coordination with relevant colleagues from Programmes, Finance and other relevant functions in the country office, and relevant counterparts in head office.
- Coordinate input and drafting of teaming agreements with INGO/consortium partners.
- Quality assure and finalise all application documents before submitting to the donor.
Grants Management:
- Ensure internal planning to meet donor requirements, for example reporting schedules, knowledge of templates, donor communication, etc.
- Support the preparation of partner agreements to ensure donor requirements are transferred to partner agreements.
- Monitor the grant portfolio, including coordination of regular grant review meetings that focus on donor relationship, results progress and burn rates.
- Ensure compliance with Organization and donor requirements and quality standards.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Oversee the completeness of organization documentation, both paper- based and electronic versions of grant agreements and modifications, project documents and correspondence with donors and partners.
- Assist in the production of write up,sitreps and presentations as requested by Country Director and/or HoP.
Capacity building in resource mobilisation and other relevant areas:
Develop and deliver trainings that strengthen the capacity of CO and partner staff to meet donor requirements.
- Provide capacity building and technical assistance related to fundraising, donor engagement and grant management for partner and organizational staff.
Facilitate lessons learned sessions on proposal development processes.
Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum of sixteen year of education with a master’s degree from a Govt approved university.
- 5 - 7-year experience on a similar position with an International NGOs.
- Proven of successful applications.
- Excellent English writing skills.
- Strong networking and coordination skills to support different process concurrently.
- Able to handle pressure and meet short deadline with quality of output.
