THE ROLE:

The selected candidates for this position would be responsible for detailed monitoring and evaluation plan of field activities and trainings to ensure successful implementation of project activities.

Key accountabilities

The Project Officer Monitoring and Evaluation will be expected to implement project plans at assigned sites under guidance of Project Manager and with the support of Project Coordinators and Capacity Building Specialist within CABI Pakistan on Better Cotton. He/She will also be responsible but not limited to;

  • Work under the guidance and supervision of Project Manager, Capacity Building Specialist and M&E .
  • Prepare the detailed monitoring and evaluation plan of field activities and trainings to ensure successful implementation of project activities.
  • Assist the Training, M&E and QA Manager to develop and implement protocols for monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
  • Field staff’s capacity building to implement monitoring and evaluation activities at Producer Unit and farm/Learning Group level.
  • Assist the Producer Unit Managers for developing the training material for the BC farmers.
  • To conduct monitoring activities, generate the Corrective Actions from findings for improvements and to ensure the implementation of corrective actions at farm and Producer Unit level.
  • To Support in the implementation of the Corrective Action Plan given by Better Cotton Initiative, Implementing Partner with the help of field team.
  • To prepare and submit the monthly, quarterly, mid-term and end year report for monitoring activities of the project.
  • Ensure the necessary documentation and trainings record maintenance at Farm and Producer Unit level.
  • Prepare and submit activity reports to line manager.
  • Facilitate the shadow Self-Assessment, Credibility check by IP & BCI, 3rd party verifications process.
  • Any other assignments required for satisfactory completion of the key role requirements.

ABOUT YOU

  • Willingness for field visits to interiors of lower Punjab for meetings with farmers.
  • Able to supervise large field team for implementation of approved activity plan.
  • Proven networking, team-building, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience and ability to work under pressure and within limited timeframes
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Practical and pragmatic – preferably with experience of working with international organizations.
  • Experience of TNA, Training Design and Training Evaluations.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs such as word, excel, power point;
  • Ability to present data to scientific as well as non-scientific community;
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills

Education & Experience

  • Candidates should have earned Masters degree in Social Sciences or in Agriculture field.
  • Candidates from Punjab province with previous 3-4 years of work experience of project’s monitoring and evaluations will be given preference.

Contract Duration: 11 months including 3 months’ probation period

Salary: 100,000 PKR (Gross)
