Duties and Responsibilities:
- To oversee the overall project management and bringing together learning from activities.
- Ensure smooth implementation and coordination with all internal and external departments and RE stakeholders.
- Coordinate with all team members and provide technical assistance in project implementation according to set objectives.
- Take lead in establishing just energy transition alliance at district and provincial level.
- Organize capacity building workshops for the alliance.
- Collaborate with academia for research on just energy transition (JET).
- Ensure collaboration with RE identified partners.
- To develop and share Monthly and Quarter reports with the support of M&E.
- To work as focal person for the project and lead interventions in the target districts Thatta, Jamshoro and Sukkur.
- Ensure project planning, execution and time management for all targets and set goals.
- Provide overall orientation and vision of project to all team members and partners.
- To liaison and do linkage building in the targeted districts with government and energy stakeholders.
- Identify local partners and assist them to provide support in project activities.
- Engage government departments, academia and local communities for quality input and ensure outreach and scope of work.
- Organize policy dialogues on just energy transition at provincial level.
- Verify all the field work, documentation and data made or reported.
- To oversee project related financial management and effective utilization of resources including staff.
- Assist program and M&E units for any field level support, as and when required.
- Support in developing IEC material related to awareness on RE.
Experience:
At least five (05) year’s work experience at managerial level in development sector/ work preferable in RE, climate change and environment.
Education:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Environment studies or other relevant subject
Skills & Competencies:
- Conceptual understanding of Renewable Energy, Climate Change, Just Energy Transition
- Strong liaison/ linkages with different stakeholders include energy department, civil society, media, other.
- Substantial knowledge regarding the program implementation on field level
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and representative skills (written, oral, cross-cultural)
- Proficiency in English language, both in writing and verbal communication
- Strong report writing skills
- Positive attitude and ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
- Ability to adapt within the working environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Adheres to strong ethical and professional values
- Can speak local languages including Sindhi and Urdu
