Purpose

Managing Help desk in Peshawar, responding to user`s VSM Tickets request/incident in apposite mean as per standards to tie-up ICT responsible services. Assist in maintaining   Infrastructure (Computer and communication infrastructures) under the supervision of ICT Engineer. Assist and Support in ICT institutional projects (HQ or Local) deployment in Peshawar.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Installs, maintains, repairs, and monitors ICT equipment in line with ICRC standards.
  • Brief end-users on standard computer systems (hardware and/or software), provides technical advice and assistance with IT equipment and its use, and provide remote support when needed.
  • Manages inventory by monitoring database(s) and carrying out regular physical checks; manages stocks. Ensure the presence of enough ICT materials in stock. Report to ICT Engineer in case of needs.
  • Allocates equipment in an efficient manner, taking into account users' needs and ICRC policies.
  • Keeps track of equipment allocations, dispatches equipment, and follows up on shipments to and from other ICRC sites.
  • Places orders for parts, equipment, and tools, locally or in Geneva, according to standing procedures and in collaboration with the line manager
  • Keeps technical documentation up to date.
  • Assist and support in Installation & maintenance of delegation network
  • Ensure that policies, rules, and procedures are followed
  • Report to ICT timely and regularly on ICT matters.
  • Assist ICT Engineer and participate in the deployment of ICT Projects (Institutional & locally initiated projects) in PES
  • Assist ICT Engineer in Installation & maintenance of delegation VHF network
  • Advise and guide business units on business application
  • Ensure good working relations and collaboration with other units/departments.

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' troubleshooting experience in an area of the ICT service catalog (e.g. workplace services, telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.) is required
  • Certification in IT, electronics, computer science or equivalent is preferred
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English.
