Objective: We seeks a highly skilled and innovative Product Development Specialist to provide expert mentorship and technical guidance to social enterprises from the project. The consultant will play a pivotal role in refining their product lines, enhancing quality, and ensuring market readiness, directly contributing to the sustainability and impact of these youth-led ventures.

Duration: (To be utilized within the project period: Sep 2025 – Jan 2026)

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Product Specialist will be responsible for:

1. 1.      Business Site Visits & Gap Identification

• Conduct visits to the business sites of the three selected enterprises.
• Identify operational and product-related gaps.
• Provide hands-on guidance to trainees for addressing identified issues.
• Review and monitor the implementation of recommended improvements.

1. 2.      Develop Action Plans:

Work with each enterprise to develop a simple, actionable product development roadmap with clear, practical steps for improvement.

1. 3.      Provide Technical Advice to the following selected 3 enterprises:

Nature Embrace (Eco-Tourism):

• Develop standardized cultural tourism packages/experiences.
• Guide on branding and heritage integration, signage, safety protocols (e.g., emergency numbers), souvenirs, and overall visitor experience enhancements.

Aqua Clearis (Water Purification):

• Advise on water quality testing protocols, labelling, usage instructions, standardization, and hygiene/safety practices.
• Provide guidance on display signages and product presentation.

Flavor Nest (Fruit Dehydration):

• Guide on food safety standards (hygiene, moisture content, shelf-life).
• Introduce advanced dehydration techniques and product diversification (e.g., mixed fruit packs, fruit powders).
• Support in packaging that preserves freshness, labelling in compliance with food safety laws, safe delivery mechanisms, and shelf-life testing.

1. 4.      Engagement Sessions

• Conduct a minimum of 12 sessions/meetings, including at least 4 sessions with above mentioned 3 social enterprises.
• Ensure sessions are interactive, practical, and result oriented.

Terms of Payment

 Payments will be released upon successful completion and verification of deliverables against the agreed number of sessions.
