Qualification Requirements

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Having a higher qualification in engineering or an MBA, along with experience with AI tools, will be an advantage.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in business development within the power and energy sector.

  • Prior experience in lead generation, proposal writing, client relations, partnerships, or market research is a plus.

  • Strong writing skills, along with expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential.

 

Job Description

The Business Development Associate will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

Business Development

 

  1. Screening and analysing new business opportunities to recommend to management whether pursue them, considering the organization’s capacity and interests.

  2. Develop and maintain a database of screened opportunities and actions taken.

  3. Assist in preparing Expression of interest (EOI) as well as technical and financial proposals (RfPs) for a varied range of Power and Energy Sector projects. 

  4. Assist in identifying and assembling proposed project teams from both inside and outside of the organization.

  5. Maintain the database and records of all EOI and full proposal submissions.

  6. Assist the senior team in evaluating new opportunities and developing a business development strategy.

  7. Assist in developing or upgrading effective marketing material for the company’s power and energy sector opportunities. This includes brochures, introductory flyers, website, and social media.

  8. Assist in the developing and upgrading of database of potential power/energy sector partner organizations.

  9. Assist in developing and upgrading a database of key professionals and consultants who are regularly required for various power and energy sector projects. This database is continuously updated and serves as a reliable source for quickly sourcing high-quality and relevant resources for any project. 

  10. Finalize write ups, editing, formatting etc. of reports and documents as required. 

  11. Draft and distribute minutes of meetings and follow-up with all concerned participants. 

  12. Support the development of weekly sectoral business development and project progress reports for distribution to all team members.

  13. Any related tasks assigned by Management.

 

Project Support

 

  1. The senior sector team will assign specific project tasks based on the project portfolio

  2. Support backstopping and quality assurance of ongoing projects.

  3. Any other relevant task assigned by the senior team.
