VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
We are an international non-Government organization and seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for the position of:
Finance Officer
Number of Positions: 01
Contract Period: Six months with possibility of further extension
Role and Responsibilities:
- Handling and organizing bank transfers, cheques, payments and bank requests in close co-operation with Finance Coordinator.
- Preparation of book-keeping documents, vouchers and contractual documents.
- Bookkeeping as per the donor format.
- Process and verify invoices in compliance with the organization Finance Handbook.
- Submission of Monthly expenditures cash planning to Finance Coordinator
- Have vast command on tax laws implemented in KP. Should know the compliance as per FBR rules and regulations.
- Maintains/supports regular cash flow to KP locations, through weekly advances and settlements
- Prepares and files Cash Count Protocols on monthly basis.
- Keeps excel cashbooks regularly updated and prepares related vouchers/coding stamps, submitting both to Finance Co for approval. Files vouchers according to the organization procedures, providing hard and soft copy of them and following up on any needed revision or amendment, when instructed by Finance Coordinator/Area Coordinator.
- Supporting procurement of project and equipment together with the logistics officer on request of the Area Coordinator in accordance with the organization/ Donor procurement guidelines.
- Oral and written translations of relevant documents (local/English)
- Ensures close cooperation with Finance Coordinator and Area Coordinator in all financial matters.
Job Requirement:
- Two years of proven experience in finance within an INGO or NGO in a similar role
- MBA/BBA/ B.com with preferably 16 years of education with specialization in Finance or Chartered Accountancy.
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
- Experience using financial software.
- Good Microsoft Office skills with ability to work on spread sheets.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Sharp time management skills.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is highly desirable. Pashto language would be an asset.
