Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Agricultural Inputs Support

  • Identify flood-affected smallholder farmers in target areas in coordination with field teams.
  • Support distribution of seeds and fertilizers, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Conduct field monitoring and provide basic technical advice to farmers (if required).

2. Livestock-Based Livelihoods

  • Coordinate with community leaders to identify eligible extremely poor women-headed households.
  • Facilitate livestock voucher fairs for the provision of goats/sheep, ensuring fair vendor participation and proper animal selection.
  • Follow up on animal health and use after distribution (in coordination with vet staff if needed).

3. Fodder Seed Distribution

  • Organize the provision of fodder seeds to small-scale livestock keepers.
  • Monitor seed usage and provide support in proper storage and planting.

4. Cash-for-Work (CFW) for Infrastructure

  • Identify and prioritize small-scale rural infrastructure (e.g. irrigation channels, culverts, pathways) in consultation with local authorities and communities.
  • Oversee CFW implementation using light/manual tools, ensuring safety, participation, and daily attendance tracking.
  • Coordinate tools, materials, and technical supervision as needed.

5. Small Business Restoration

  • Work with local traders, women entrepreneurs, and youth to assess flood damage to micro-enterprises.
  • Facilitate recovery packages (in-kind or cash-based) and track progress of business recovery.
  • Monitor sustainability and usage of support after delivery.

6. Vocational Skills Training

  • Identify youth or vulnerable individuals in need of skills development.
  • Coordinate with local training centers or service providers to deliver relevant vocational training (e.g. tailoring, mechanics, mobile repair, carpentry).
  • Track training attendance, completion, and post-training livelihood outcomes.

7. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Ensure proper documentation of beneficiaries and activities (distribution lists, photos, reports).
  • Conduct regular field visits and submit weekly/monthly progress reports.
