We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Expert – Livelihood and Livestock to lead the development and implementation of livelihood and livestock initiatives under our program in Balochistan. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable economic growth, improving rural livelihoods, and enhancing livestock productivity. The incumbent will provide technical expertise, innovative solutions, and strategic guidance to ensure impactful program execution aligned with poverty alleviation, food security, and socio-economic empowerment objectives.

Develop and implement strategies for livelihood diversification, livestock value chains, and enterprise development, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Provide expert advice on livelihood enhancement, livestock value chain development, and local economic growth while ensuring compliance with SDGs, national policies, and provincial frameworks.

Deliver technical and operational guidance to improve competitiveness, strengthen livestock value chains, and foster enterprise development for sustainable and inclusive growth.

Design strategies to upgrade livestock value chains, including improvements in production, processing, and market linkages while exploring new market opportunities.

Oversee the project cycle (planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation), ensuring compliance with donor priorities and strategic objectives.

Collaborate with government departments, internal sectors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and adaptation based on evolving needs.

Identify and leverage public-private partnerships and value chain networks to upgrade livelihood and livestock value chains, fostering sustainable economic growth.

Contribute to donor reporting, including updates for Management Information Systems (MIS), annual reports, and project briefs.

Support the implementation of the project’s communication and visibility strategy, including policy advocacy efforts based on project insights and best practices.

Provide regular updates through project fiches, issue briefs, and analytical reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
Education & Relevant Experience:

Education: Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Livestock Management, Economics, or a related field from an institution listed in the World Higher Education Database (http://www.whed.net/home.php).

Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in livelihood development, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) development.
