A national non-profit organization is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of Security Guard in Peshawar, on a contract basis for a donor-funded program.
Job Description:
1. Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the building, equipment, and furnishings.
2. Ensure the safety and security of the building and official assets/property.
3. Efficiently run routine errands outside the office, such as grocery shopping and photocopying etc.
4. Prepare and serve tea and refreshments for staff and guests as needed.
5. Maintain records of daily activities, including the visitor registration book, motorbike logbook, and generator logbook.
6. Document incoming and outgoing mail effectively.
7. Report any incidents/unusual events to the line manager and document them clearly.
8. Drive official vehicles as required, especially when the office driver is unavailable.
9. Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Qualifications
1. Minimum education: Matriculate; literate.
2. Able to speak and write in Pashto and Urdu; basic writing skills in simple English
are a plus.
3. Familiar with basic security and safety procedures.
4. Hold a valid LTV license and able to drive a motorbike and car.
Experience and Requirements
1. Prior experience in security, as office boy, and in driving is preferred.
2. Physically fit to perform job duties, including lifting heavy loads and standing or
sitting for long periods.
3. Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Good observational skills and problem-solving abilities.
6. Basic Math skills
7. Basic understanding of office etiquettes.
8. Willingness to travel to field locations as required.
9. No criminal record and a good reputation in the local community.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preference will be given to Local residents and those who have relevant experience.
