ROLE PURPOSE:

This position is responsible to provide timely IT support to the staff and assist in running the IT infrastructure smoothly.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Support Services Director

Staff directly reporting to this post:  N/A

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Implement Global/Country IT Policy and follow standard procedures/tasks as per the SCI Global IT Operations guidelines.
• Install OS and configure computer systems with standard settings.
• Make sure that all computers are installed with standard licensed software (OS, MS Office, Firewall, Anti-Virus, OneDrive) and are updated with latest security patches.
• Manage and troubleshoot IT network operations and issues.
• Providing IT helpdesk support to all staff and escalate issues related to CO/RO.
• Ensure smooth function of computers, printers and other IT related equipment.
• Expedite the repair of hardware faults and software configuration problems, notifying or

forwarding to relevant suppliers in a timely manner.

• Ensure system and data security is maintained at a high standard as per the SCI IT Security and Data Protection policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all staff have reliable access to the internet and ensure that the internet will be used
• in a proper and legal manner.
• Ensure all computers and network devices are configured with the SCI policies with all security controls in place.
• Demonstrable experience in designing and conducting IT trainings.
• Hands on experience of Windows Server 2016/19, Active Directory, DHCP, File and Print Service.
• Assist users in performing routine functions, troubleshooting errors/problems in systems, Operating Systems, SCI/ 3rd party software, raising tickets to JIRA.
• Maintain necessary ICT related files and backups.
• Provide training and support to staff members on the use of hardware/software.
• Facilitate staff in use of multimedia and arrangement/setup of computers in conference areas, workshops, etc.
• Provide appropriate repair and regular maintenance of all information system equipment.
• Conduct monthly data backups, or more frequently if required.
• To secure computer systems from virus and hackers.
• Manage all CO IT incidents and support requests by using JIRA for Response, Resolution and/or Escalation.
• Participate in the weekly Asia regional standup call as well as the monthly online meeting to share update and challenges and to learn and collaborate with the Asia team of IT from other COs.
• Provide monthly activity and performance (SLA) reports to the Regional Head and share the same with the CO SMT.

Any other task assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s in computer sciences or MCS with 2 years’ experience.
• Experience with the development sector will be added advantage
• Sound knowledge on SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript,  Web Services and XML
• Strong Command in installation, networking and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware and Software
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English & Urdu is highly desirable.
