Introduction

CARE started its operations in Pakistan as CARE International in Pakistan (CIP) in 2005 and is currently registered in the country with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Economic Affairs Division (EAD). Since our establishment, CIP has worked across all geographies in Pakistan - from the most vulnerable remote areas to developed urban cities - to support people in overcoming poverty by creating opportunities for self-reliance. Our entire staff is locally recruited and works as per the humanitarian principles of impartiality and neutrality.

Internship Objective

Consistent with the CIP’s culture to promote and foster a learning environment, the internship program is designed to provide a limited number of undergraduate/graduate individuals with opportunities to obtain practical work experience. Interns will be closely working with the relevant department of CIP on a full-time basis, in Islamabad Office.

Internship Summary

CARE International in Pakistan is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reporting Intern to support the Assistant Country Director (ACD) in compiling, reviewing, and ensuring timely reporting of project progress and outcomes to donors and CARE's global team. The intern will assist in enhancing the quality, accuracy, and consistency of reports aligned with donor requirements and CARE International's global standards. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in report development, data analysis, and coordination in a humanitarian and development organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities.

Assist in reviewing and consolidating project data and reports from various program teams to ensure timely submission to donors and CARE International's global team.

Support the drafting, editing, and formatting of periodic project reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Conduct literature reviews and desk research on relevant programmatic themes to enrich report content and project documentation.

Assist in updating project monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to accurately reflect progress and outcomes.

Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and alignment of data across reports and communication materials.

Maintain reporting calendars and trackers to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.

Support the documentation and archiving of project reports and supporting documents.

Collaborate with program teams to collect success stories, case studies, and lessons learned for inclusion in reports.

Attend and document meetings, preparing minutes and ensuring follow-up on agreed actions.

Engage with program teams and external partners to facilitate smooth information flow and communication.

Assisting with other ad hoc work as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

A) Education/Training

Minimum Bachelors/ in Business Administration or related field (Fresh graduate)

C) Technical Skills

Proficiency in computer (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

Excellent written and spoken English, Urdu.

D) Competencies: Respect, accountability, interpersonal skills, customer focus, innovation, stress tolerance, collaboration, teamwork

II. Contacts/Key Relationship: The incumbent is expected to collaborate with all CARE Pakistan field offices and CO staff.

III. Working Conditions and Level of Travel Required.

The position will be based in Islamabad.
