The MEAL Officer will design, implement, and oversee the project's MEAL framework to track progress, measure impact, and ensure accountability to stakeholders. The role will involve data collection, analysis, reporting, and fostering a culture of learning to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in MEAL roles within humanitarian or development projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEAL principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Power BI) and mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox).
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Deliverables
- MEAL framework and tools tailored to the project objectives.
- Regular monitoring reports, including key performance indicators and progress updates.
- Documentation of lessons learned and best practices for dissemination.
- Final evaluation report summarizing project outcomes and recommendations.
