Activity: Feasibility Study for Development of AI-Based Product for Hotels

Position Overview:

Organization is seeking an experienced AI Product Development Consultant to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for the development of an AI-based product tailored for the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in AI technologies, market analysis, and product development to assess technical, operational, and economic feasibility. This activity initiates a feasibility study that will evaluate existing hotel app features particularly those of the Organization and lay the foundation for designing an AI-driven product. The study will include recommendations, product conceptualization, and budget estimation for the product's development.

Key Responsibilities:

Feasibility Analysis

Conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on the features of existing hotel apps, with a particular focus on the Organization.

Identify opportunities for integrating AI to improve guest services, optimize operational workflows, and offer personalized experiences.

Develop a detailed concept for an AI-powered app tailored to the unique needs of the hospitality industry.

Market Research

• Analyze market trends in AI applications within the hospitality sector.
• Benchmark existing AI-based products for hotels and identify gaps or opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and insights.
• Conduct interviews with hotel management, staff, and customers to ensure solution alignment.

Technology Assessment

• Identify suitable AI technologies, tools, and platforms for product development.
• Assess technical requirements, operational frameworks, and economic viability.

• Evaluate the scalability and adaptability of proposed technologies.
• Provide a budget estimate and propose a phased timeline for the product's development and implementation.

Risk Analysis

• Identify potential risks (technical, market, operational) and propose mitigation strategies.
• Assess regulatory and compliance considerations for AI implementation.

Reporting & Recommendations

• Prepare a detailed feasibility study report, including findings, insights, and actionable recommendations.
• Present the report to the client, outlining the next steps for product development

Deliverables

• Research Report on current hotel app features and usage analysis.
• Recommendation Document for AI-based enhancements and app functionalities.
• Product Design Blueprint, including app features, UI/UX suggestions, and technical requirements.
• Budget & Timeline Report detailing the estimated costs, cost-benefit analysis, and timeframes for development, testing, and deployment phases.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in AI product development or consulting roles.

Proven track record of conducting feasibility studies for AI products.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of AI technologies (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, recommendation systems).

Proficient in data analytics and software development lifecycle.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to perform market research, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments.

Communication Skills:

Strong presentation and report-writing skills.

Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with the hospitality industry’s operations and challenges is a plus.

Reporting & Communication

The consultant will report to the general manager at Organization. Regular updates and draft submissions will be required as per the agreed activity timeline.
