The Position:

The Social Organizer will directly report to the Project Office at Head Office Level, He/She shall be responsible for the efficient implementation of PEACE project activities at District Level.

 

Significance:

The Social Organizer is expected to maintain close cooperation with target communities, local political, minorities and religious leaders to effectively mobilize them for active participation in planning and implementing district-level activities. Their role bridges community voices with program goals, helping adapt activities for maximum impact and long-term success.

 

Social Organizer must ensure:

 

S t r a t e g i c i n p u t :

  • Assist head office and district teams in documenting immediate outcome of the Project related interventions by playing active role to develop and provide success stories, lesson learnt, good practices and way forward.

 

P r o g r a m m e M a n a g e m e n t :

  • Implementation of district level specific project strategic plans in alignment of district and organization’s vision & mission.

 

T e a m M a n a g e m e n t :

  • Setup processes and assign responsibilities to master trainer based at union councils accordingly.
  • Play active role to provide on job support to the master trainer to achieve the programme’s objectives to assist Organization’s goals.

 

Primary Functions of the Job:

  1. Responsible for community mobilization activities execution, supervision and monitoring at District and community level, writing daily dairies, events/session reports, Integration of social mobilization activities at District level, daily/weekly/monthly planning, reporting of social mobilization activities at District level.
  2. To initiate/conduct awareness campaigns, seminars, events and meetings in the targeted areas and keep appropriate record in soft and hard.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible to collect compile and share the primary and secondary data of the identified sectors in the district.
  2. Responsible and be a part of assessment activities i.e. KAP/Rapid assessment/ PSC in the targeted District of the programme areas and keep record in folders (hard and soft both).
  3. Make contacts in appropriate manners with local communities and community Institutions (CIs),  to mobilise them for projects activities (in the given situational context).
  4. Responsible for the technical backstopping of the community Institutions, with consultation of Head Office Team including inclusion of women members as well as minorities in these CIs.
  5. Be a part of awareness raising campaigns, events, workshops, seminars and community meetings that would be held on different sectors envisaged for the programme components.
  6. Play vital role to facilitate and provide support for the expected trainings of local leaders/community members and activists on different themes that are envisaged for the programme components.
  7. Responsible to manage interventions other than social mobilization activities under all projects in the district.
  8. As catalyst play active role to develop linkages of CIs (VOs/LSO) with line departments and NGO/INGOs working in the District to generate the external support to communities.
  9. Keep all relevant record in soft and hard at District and community level for all conducted activities/sessions/meetings.
  10. Write daily diaries in appropriate manners and that would be based on the learning from the field, exchange ideas and share experiences with management and field staff for improvements.
  11. Responsible to utilize at least 90% of his working days in the field and keep all field visits record in soft and hard.
  12. Prepare and develop personal monthly/weekly/daily work plans.
  13. Preparation of personal weekly/monthly progress reports (narrative and statistical both).
  14. Responsible to be a part of progress sharing weekly and monthly review meetings.
  15. Seek guidance from project officer in case of problems in the assigned work.
  16. Any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor, in scope of the project.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Programme Deliverables.
  • Timely and successful completion of projects deliverables.
  • Timely and accurate Internal Reporting.
  • Technical backstopping and Capacity building of Programme implementation team.

 

Authority:

Support and facilitative role for CI’s and master trainers in specific assigned tasks provided by management and administration.

 

Internal and External Interactions:

  • C o o r d i n a tion : Close coordination with line department, Community Institutions, stakeholders and staff at district level for uniformity of implementation strategy and approach.
  • Project T e a m : Close coordination with project team at head office and districts, support Monitoring team in different assessment and facilitate different visits. Ensure required documents with quality and transparency of Finance, Account and Admin.

Experience and Education:

  • At least 5 Years of diverse working Experience with min 1 years of relevant working Experience.
  • Masters (Social Sciences).
