Women Medical Officer (WMO)

 

Normeca International AS invites “Women Medical Officer” to work in connection with the launch of our project in Pakistan “Mobile Multi Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital” under the management of the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and in cooperation with the Government in Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The clinics will cover general diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, and they are all located in large mobile trailers. The clinics are fully equipped with modern medical equipment and ancillary units such as kitchen, laundry, dining room, conference rooms, etc. The Clinics are operating in KPK and Sindh Regions.

Normeca International AS is seeking a compassionate and experienced Women Medical Officer (WMO) to join our team. This role is crucial in our mission to provide comprehensive medical care to underserved communities in rural areas of Pakistan. The successful candidate must be willing to work in non-standard conditions and will deliver a wide range of healthcare services, from preventive care to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions, with a specific focus on women’s and children's health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to women and children, addressing their specific health needs.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conduct routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
  • Offer basic gynaecological care and family planning counselling, while recognizing the limits of non-specialized practice.
  • Develop and manage personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and reproductive health.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Stay updated with medical advancements and best practices.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling mobile medical units at various locations.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice as a Women Medical Officer.
  • Proven experience in women's health and general practice.
  • Strong knowledge of primary care principles and practices.
  • Additional training in gynecology is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in English is an advantage.
