Key responsibilities

• Topographic survey of the project area using total station / DGPS or UAV (photogrammetric technology).
• Prepare and update survey maps, plans, and reports. Topographic mapping, river / stream cross sections and profiling.
• Establishment of all relevant control networks & Control stations for construction.
• Data collection especially area features by using total station / DGPS.
• Vertical and horizontal accuracy of Arial survey.
• Digitizing the field data and preparation of contour maps
• Preparation of drawings and report
• Assist in the design of project components, such as Diversion Intake, Headrace Channel, Power house, irrigation outlets, Transmission Line etc.,
• Assist Engineers in reviewing Bill of Quantities, Budgets, Design and estimates for different schemes.
• Conduct field measurements and monitoring during construction.
• Troubleshoot survey-related issues during project execution.

Qualification required:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Surveying, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., PLS, PS) or ability to obtain would be aplus.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ Proven experience in surveying for infrastructure projects particularly in hydropower and irrigation projects.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and tools (e.g., GPS, GIS, total stations).
• Familiarity and Experience with CAD & other hydropower projects related software (e.g., HECHMS, HEC-RAS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in challenging terrain and weather conditions.
• Knowledge of environmental and social impact assessment procedures.
