U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for Administrative Assistant (CLO) position in U.S. Embassy, Islamabad.

Basic Function of the Position The Community Liaison Office Administrative Assistant (CLO Administrative Assistant) provides administrative support to the Community Liaison Office. The position works under the supervision of the CLO Coordinator and collaborates with the entirety of the CLO staff (CLO Coordinator and Assistant CLO Coordinator) to support the office in successful programming under all eight Areas of Responsibility (family member employment; crisis management and security; education; communications and outreach; guidance and referral; welcoming, orientation, and departures; community liaison; and events planning), to develop and maintain key contacts, and to manage information that benefits the morale and welfare of the entire Mission.

Qualification Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum two (2) years of administrative/office experience is required.

EDUCATION: Completion of Higher Secondary School (12 years of education) is required.

Job Knowledge: Must be able to have basic understanding of the Foreign Service concept and the structure of the U.S. federal government. Knowledge of general principles of office administration, management and Microsoft Office is required. The incumbent should have excellent knowledge of host country and how to access desired services to meet the needs of Mission standards.

LANGUAGE: Level III (Good working knowledge) in English and Urdu is required. English language skills may be tested.

Skills And Abilities: Ability to draft communications and reports. Strong organizational skills (physical and digital organization of office files). Strong research skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365. The incumbent should have ability to communicate professionally with all mission U.S. Direct Hires (USDH), Eligible Family Members (EFMs), Members of Household (MOHs), and local staff, including agency/section heads and Ambassador level. Should have interpersonal skills that contribute to establishing contacts in local business sector and service communities. Skills and abilities may be tested.
