Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Handicrafts and Rally Work Trainer to lead a comprehensive training program designed for women in Ghotki and Khairpur Districts as part of our Green Skills Development Project. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in traditional and sustainable handicrafts, including but not limited to weaving, embroidery, and rally work. The trainer should be adept in a range of techniques and practices, and able to modify and enhance provided curricula to fit local needs and market demands. This role involves not only delivering hands-on training but also guiding trainees in product development and market engagement to foster economic independence and sustainability.

 

Scope of Work

The Handicrafts and Rally Work Trainer will be responsible for:

  • Curriculum Modification: Utilize the provided curriculum to design detailed monthly and weekly work plans tailored to the needs of trainees and market demands.
  • Training Program Development: Implement the modified curriculum to deliver effective training sessions on handicrafts and rally work, ensuring the content is relevant and engaging.
  • Skills Assessment: Evaluate the skill levels of trainees and adapt the training approach as needed to address their specific needs.
  • Product Development: Support trainees in creating market-ready handicrafts and rally work products, ensuring high quality and adherence to market standards.
  • Market Linkages: Assist in establishing connections between trainees and potential buyers, providing guidance on marketing and networking opportunities.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly share progress reports with the project team, including updates on training outcomes, challenges, and achievements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all training activities adhere to high standards and verify the quality of tools and materials used.

 

 

 Expected Outputs/Deliverables

  • Monthly and Weekly Work Plans: Develop and submit detailed monthly and weekly work plans based on the provided curriculum.
  • Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions and modify the curriculum as needed to meet the trainees' needs.
  • Skills Assessment Reports: Perform assessments of trainee skills
  • Product Development Support: Guide trainees in developing and refining handicrafts and rally work products.
  • Progress Reports: Provide regular updates on training progress, challenges, and successes to the project team.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all training materials and products meet the required standards.

Deliverables (90 days):

  • Inception workplan
  • Develop monthly and weekly work plans
  • Conduct training sessions and evaluate market demand

Methodology

The trainer will:

  • Work with the Provided Curriculum: Modify and adapt the given curriculum to create effective monthly and weekly work plans.
  • Coordinate withCollaborate closely with the team to align training activities with project goals.
  • Implement Training Programs: Deliver training based on the modified curriculum and provide on-site support as needed.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly update the project team on training progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Market Research: Gather and analyse market information to support product development and trainee market engagement.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handicrafts and rally work training.
  • Proven ability to adapt and develop training programs based on provided curricula.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and product development in handicrafts and rally work.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project areas and engage with local communities.

Reporting Requirements

The trainer will report directly to the Project Manager, providing regular updates on training activities, progress, and any challenges encountered. Monthly progress reports and updates on the implementation of work plans are required.
