The District Coordinator will report to the Senior Manger Health, Nutrition and Disability, based at BRSP Head Office, ensure execution of the health interventions in line with stakeholder’s strategies and also provides planning and technical backstopping to the implementation teams at both level (provincial & district), through continuous communication & frequent visits.
Significance:
The District Coordinator is responsible for provision of technical inputs in health related projects/programmes of BRSP. Identification of technical gaps and advise possible strategies to streamline with standards thresholds and guidelines in project/programs such as Malaria, Primary Health care, Health Education, Nutrition, Disabilities & policy advocacy etc., the position provides insight to Sr. Manager in setting up section’s strategic direction.
District Coordinator must ensure:
- Review and analyse health MIS and provide analytical opinion for improvement in interventions
- Provide technical input in planning, monitoring, evaluation and designing and redesigning of health related programs/projects.
- Provide support and technical input to senior manager in development of health related concept notes and proposals.
Specific Responsibilities:
To have responsibilities of project “Malaria Control Program” at district level. Having responsibilities of planning, implementing, coordination and management at district level.
- Planning, implementation and management of the project.
- Liaison with the project stakeholders for smooth implementation of project activities at district level.
- Produce project activities reports, data Compilation, Analysis and Sharing of Report with manager
- Developing linkages and close coordination with all stakeholders (DHO and PPHI) at district level.
- Preparing the monthly work plans
- Ensuring the activities are implemented well in time and quality of all activities will be maintained with its objectives.
- Orientation and technical backstopping of malaria focal persons of public and private health facilities.
- Support project manager in organization of engagement meetings at district level with stakeholders.
- Documentation of all field level activities and share compiled data for monthly and quarterly reports.
- Ensure supply of commodities (AMDs, RDT kits and other supplies) with proper record management
- Regular monitoring and supervision of targeted health facilities
- Financial management at district level
- Conduct/participate in monthly surveillance committee meeting with DHO, PPHI and TIH MEAL officers
- Preparing activity reports and submitting them to the Head office
- Ensuring transparency of his/her respective functions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
KPI-1: Planning, implementation and management of the project.
Description: It refers work planning and quality implementation of project activities at field level
KPI-2: Malaria Surveillance
Description: It refers, regular analysis of field data and generate analytical reports for planning and decision making.
KPI-3: Coordination and liaising.
Description: It refers regular coordination with project stakeholders at district level and seek possible support for smooth implementation of project activities.
KPI-4: Regular monitoring and supervision of project activities
Description: It refers quality monitoring visits of project activities and ensure compliance according to project set guidelines.
KPI-5: Timely and accurate Reporting.
Description: It refers monthly reporting of project activities that includes; FM2, from HFs, logistic reports, training and meetings reports etc.
Authority:
District Coordinator will exercise his/her authority in technical reporting and inputs for effectiveness of health interventions.
