Job Description: Technical Associate

Sindh Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (SHRRP) is hiring for multiple technical associates’ position. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.

SHRRP Background

The Sindh Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (SHRRP) is Platform of all stakeholders engaged to support Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF) in housing reconstruction and settlement recovery process. The goal of SHRRP is “Flood families live in resilient homes and communities in Sindh.” The SHRRP will provide support SPHF to support strategic planning, coordination and cooperation with the national and international Organizations, the private sector, and public associations engaged in post-flood Sindh housing recovery process. The platform will ensure that SPHF led technical assistance and information management are streamlined, disseminated, and communicated at all levels. Prioritize Fund raising strategy and flexible resource mobilization to cover up gaps and provide necessary capacity building support to SPHF and partners is the major objective of the platform.

Duration: 6 months (Possible extension)

Base: Karachi, SHRRP Office with more than 50% field travel

1.     Technical Associate: Communications and Reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is Media and communications, creative writing, journalism, or any relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Skills of managing social media and website content creation is required.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in media and communication role in reputed organizations.
• Experience in UN, I/NGOs is a plus.
• Creative content writer and idea generator for strategic visibility.

2.     Technical Associate: Data Science and Information Management 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data management, information management or any relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Skills of excel data management and analysis, data collection, data visualization are required.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experiences in relevant field in reputed organizations.
• Experience in UN, I/NGOs is a plus.
• Data visualization experience, creative data display with use of technologies and software.

 

3.     Technical Associate: Urban and Spatial Planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or any relevant field is required. 
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Skills of using Auto cad, Sketchup, Revit, 3-D designing, and another tool are required.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experiences in relevant field in reputed organizations.
• Experience in UN, I/NGOs is a plus.
• Urban planning or spatial planning experience from small to longer term.

 

4.     Technical Associate: Innovation and Reserach

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree any relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Skills of designing and conducting research.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experiences in relevant field in reputed organizations.
• Experience in UN, I/NGOs is a plus.
• Have published blogs, research papers and published articles.
