Project Overview

We are seeking specialist profiles for a potential community-based disaster risk reduction and resilience project expected to commence in August 2026 in the districts of Multan and Muzaffargarh in South Punjab. The initiative will work with flood‑affected communities to strengthen local preparedness systems through youth‑led and community‑driven approaches, including the formation and capacity building of community preparedness groups.

The project will focus on practical disaster preparedness, contingency planning, early warning dissemination, first‑response coordination, and social cohesion, with a strong emphasis on the meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. Through targeted training, mock drills, community dialogue sessions and awareness campaigns, the project aims to help communities anticipate, withstand and recover from climate‑induced shocks while reinforcing human security and linkages with local disaster management institutions.

Purpose

The Trainers / Facilitators will support delivery of community-based training sessions in Urdu and Saraiki/Punjabi, using standardized training materials and participatory methodologies for target communities and local groups.

  • Ensure training content is communicated clearly in local languages and adapted to literacy levels of participants.
  • Support mock drills, group work, simulation exercises and follow-up coaching where required.
  • Maintain training records and submit session documentation in the required format.
  • Coordinate closely with community mobilizers to ensure participant turnout and local arrangements.
