Job Description:
To deliver high-quality housekeeping training to trainees, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills, and professional attitude required for employment in the hospitality industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver theoretical and practical training in housekeeping operations for trainees.
- Train trainees on cleaning procedures for guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, offices, and other facilities.
- Demonstrate the proper use of housekeeping equipment, cleaning chemicals, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Teach cleaning standards, hygiene practices, waste management, and infection prevention procedures.
- Train trainees on bed making, room preparation, linen handling, laundry procedures, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all training activities.
- Develop and implement practical exercises to enhance trainees’ housekeeping skills and service quality.
- Monitor trainee attendance, participation, and performance throughout the training program.
- Conduct practical assessments and provide constructive feedback to improve trainee competency.
- Maintain training records, assessment reports, and other required documentation.
- Promote professional behavior, teamwork, customer service, and workplace ethics among trainees.
- Ensure the training area, tools, and equipment are maintained in a safe and organized condition.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in the hospitality management sector.
- Previous training, teaching, or supervisory experience will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and workplace safety practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver practical, hands-on training and simplify technical concepts for trainees.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform demonstrations involving housekeeping equipment and materials.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and service quality.
