Job Description

Duty Station: National Office

Reporting to: Manager Communications 

Introduction:

Position Objective: Communication Officer must develop an in-depth understanding about the organization, its historical background, strategic priorities, goals and objectives, scope and scale of work, program models, advocacy and campaigns, internal ways of working, outreach and teams’ dynamics, information about existing and evolving key donors, supporters and networks, KPIs, and Unique Features/organization's’s Difference.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and promote organizational communications strategies, including messaging, media outreach, and social media campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

  • Create high-quality content for various platforms, including annual reports, newsletters, publications, press releases, website content, speeches, and case studies.

  • Support program staff in producing success stories, toolkits, training materials, and other communication collateral.

  • Plan, design, and execute digital and multimedia campaigns, including Call-to-Action campaigns and observance of key local and international days.

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, broadcasters, and media networks to enhance the organization’s visibility.

  • Record, document, and store program videos, photos, and reports; manage media assets for easy access and dissemination.

  • Ensure timely production and dissemination of internal and external newsletters and other communications materials.

  • Act as media focal point and support website updates and social media management.

  • Frequent field travel is required to support program activities and communications efforts.

  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

 Minimum Qualification:

BS in Mass communication /Master in Mass communication. At least 2-3 year working experience.
