Job Summary

Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) is seeking a qualified and responsible OPD Assistant / Midwife to support daily OPD operations and provide basic maternal and reproductive healthcare services to women.

Key Responsibilities

• Register patients and prepare/issue OPD tokens.
• Manage patient flow and arrange the waiting line in an organized manner.
• Assist the clinical team during OPD consultations and procedures.
• Provide basic antenatal and postnatal care as per scope of practice.
• Monitor and record vital signs and relevant patient information.
• Provide basic maternal health education and counseling.
• Maintain patient folders and arrange records in ascending order.
• Make medicine entries and maintain relevant records.
• Maintain accurate staff and patient records.
• Identify and refer patients requiring specialized medical attention.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the OPD area.
• Provide backup support for other OPD duties during workload.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Midwifery / Community Midwife (CMW) from a recognized institution.
• Relevant experience in OPD, clinic, maternal health, or patient registration will be preferred.
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
