ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main role of the engineer will be to build solutions for MATLAB and LabView based applications. The engineer will be required to design and execute all digital signal processing systems and develop architecture for systems and prepare all associate algorithms to develop all digital signal processes.
The engineer will be required to evaluate all designs and prepare all projects and analyze all hardware and software requirements for all processes and administer all projects.
Must have a strong grip on wireless communication and wireless ad-hoc networks, especially channel modeling, physical layer, and Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocols. Hands-on experience on Wireless Network Simulators. Candidates with good programming skills will be preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
MS/ME in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunication / Wireless communication, Digital Signal Processing with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and Major Field GPA of 3.5.
02 years’ experience at an R&D position or as university Lab/research assistant.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proficient in MATLAB programming (phased array toolbox, sensor fusion and tracking toolbox, filter designing, mathematical modeling, GUI)
- Strong theoretical background in DSP (data acquisition, data manipulation, time and frequency domain)
- Understanding of RF systems and equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Antenna, RF Front End Devices)
- RF Transceivers and SDRs (USRP, Vector Transceivers)
- Familiar with LabVIEW (Core 1 and Core 2, LabVIEW FPGA, LabVIEW Realtime, LabVIEW & NI devices Interfacing)
FYP / THESIS
RF and microware circuit design, RF signal processing, Antenna arrays, Wireless digital communication with emphasis on Tx/Rx design.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 Years in the field of Digital Signal Processing in MATLAB / LabView.
- Hardware/FPGA Implementation of DSP Algorithms
- System level Design of a Real time Communication System
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Permanent residents of Islamabad/Rawalpindi will be preferred.
- The hired engineer will undergo a 2-3 month training period during which the engineer will be on probation. The final appointment will be confirmed after completion of the training period.
