JOB DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Expertise in writing software manuals or technical documents.
  • Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation.
  • Study products/software samples and conduct interviews with product/software designers and developers.
  • Proactive approach to collecting relevant info from stakeholders.
  • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions.
  • Setting up and maintaining a standard for the maintenance of product related documentation (e.g. user manuals, leaflets).
  • Creation and coordination of practical user manuals considering the relevant norms and standards.
  • Structuring, standardising and assessing texts and illustrations for correctness and target oriented formulation of complex content.
  • Being responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance to internal and external standards as well as the analysis, structuring, and evaluation of product related documentation.
  • Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animations, and charts that increases the understanding of the users.
  • Select appropriate mediums for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos.
  • Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers.
  • Responsible for the revision of the documents.
  • Support the administration of user manuals (release process, archiving, and provisioning) on relevant portals.
