Project Description:

CNFA is currently seeking qualified candidates for the upcoming USAID-funded Pakistan Economic Recovery and Development Activity. This Activity is designed to expand economic opportunities in the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province by strengthening and modernizing the agriculture sector and promoting farm and off-farm micro- and small enterprises. 

Position Summary:

The Agricultural and Value Chain Specialist will provide technical assistance to facilitate Farmers' access to high-quality agriculture and livestock inputs. He/she will  be responsible for establishment of agribusinesses and strengthening of value chain linkages under micro, small and enterprises components of the activity.

Minimum qualifications:

• University degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Engineering, Natural Resource Management,
• or a related field, Master’s degree is preferred;
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Agriculture and Livestock Value Chain;
• Experience promoting private sector-led growth in agriculture, with experience in
• improved inputs, contract farming and value chains
• Experience working on USAID-funded development projects is preferred;
• Knowledge of Pakistan development context is highly desirable;
• Fluency in English required and additional fluency in local languages preferred.
