Position Objectives: |
||
Under the overall technical support of DD DM (DRR) & supervision of PDMM the District SSO will be responsible to ensure efficient and effective implementation of School Safety Programme (SSP) activities using the trained volunteers. |

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities |

1 |
Function as a focal person at your respective district regarding the program implementation. |
|
2 |
Develop and maintain close coordination with District Administration, Education department, I/NGOs and other relevant stakeholders. |
|
3 |
Coordination, liasoning & rapport building with the school authorities to ensure their support |
|
4 |
Mobilization of the volunteers & establishment of youth club |
|
5 |
To spread awareness on disaster risk reduction and safer schools by imparting Trainings, conduct of risk mapping, preparation of school risk reduction maps |
|
6 |
Support the school staff and children in developing sessions plans on School Safety and facilitate evacuation drills and simulation exercises to school children, teachers and school safety committees. |

7 |
Ensure periodic monitoring of all SSP activities in targeted schools. |

8 |
Provide quality reports including activity reports, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on PRCS Standard formats as per agreed deadlines. |

9 |
Responsible to follow up of key challenges, suggested solutions and case studies reflecting good practices on regular basis. |

10 |
Ensure timely submission of expenditure details along with complete required documentations for finance settlement. |

Maintain database of JYCs, SSCs and ERTs and will update it as per need |

12 |
Ensure participation in regular coordination meetings at district level and provide updates on PRCS SSP activities and seek support where needed. |

13 |
Perform other duties and functions as may be given by the line manager from time to time |
Education |
Masters/ 16 years education in Social Science/ Management or in relevant field from HEC recognized Institute / University. |
Experience |
Minimum 3 - 4 years Post Qualification experience in implementation of school safety and disaster management related projects. |
