Major Responsibilities:
- Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of the organization
- To assess patient’s needs, abilities or behavior using, interviews, direct observation, tests and variety of tools/methods
- To work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, LHVs and other staff to devise and monitor appropriate activities regarding treatment, counseling and referrals
- To offer therapy for difficulties relating to anxiety, depression, addictions, social and interpersonal problems and increasingly, a range of challenging problems
- To contribute in rehabilitating of patients in the community with the demonstration of psychological approaches in their lives
- To refer patients to specialists or to other institutions/organizations for non-counseling treatment of problems
- Diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders
- To mobilize patients that how they could be helped by counseling. To develop therapeutic and treatment plans based on patients interests, abilities, and needs
- To record and monitor patients progress through regular meetings or sessions
- To support in maintaining Minimum Service Delivery Standards as set by Government of Pakistan in the field health unit
- She/he must demonstrate acceptable behavior with the patients, staff and others
- Offer services to all age, gender, religion groups of people
- Compile and ensure timely submission of daily/monthly reports and records
- May require to perform other related duties assigned by supervisor as per organization set standards
Job Requirements:
a) Education:
- Minimum Master’s degree in Psychology or equivalent
b) Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant field, preferably in development sector
c) Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge and experience in mental consoling, gender promotion and behavior change
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Must have knowledge of Computer operation and use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
d) Language Skills:
- Urdu, Pashto and English
e) Age:
- Maximum age limit 45 Year
