Project / Program: Improving the income security of small-scale cotton farmers in Pakistan
Grade: A-1
Location: Khairpur
Contract: Long-Term contract
Work Week: 05 Days- 40 hours/week

Position Overview:

WWF-Pakistan is seeking qualified and dedicated Field Facilitators to join our dynamic team for the implementation of a sustainable cotton farming project. Field Facilitators will be the frontline representatives responsible for engaging with local communities, facilitating project activities, and ensuring the successful execution of field-level initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Community Engagement:
• Build strong relationships with local communities, including smallholder farmers, to facilitate their active participation in project activities.
• Conduct awareness sessions to educate community members on sustainable cotton farming practices.


2. Capacity Building:
• Provide training and support to farmers on climate-smart cultivation methods and the use of sustainable practices.
• Facilitate workshops and demonstrations on the implementation of innovative and eco-friendly agricultural techniques.
• Demonstration of advanced farming tools among communities to enable them to make right and informed decisions.


3. Coordination:
• Collaborate with local NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and implementation of project goals.
• Organize and participate in community meetings to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure transparency.


4. Data Collection:
• Collect and document relevant data on farming practices, crop yields, and community feedback.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluation activities, contributing to the assessment of project impact.


5. Reporting:
• Prepare regular reports on field activities, including challenges faced, successes achieved, and lessons learned.
• Provide inputs for project reports to be submitted to the Project Implementation Unit.


6. Advocacy and Communication:
• Advocate for the adoption of sustainable farming practices within the local community.
• Assist in organizing events and campaigns to raise awareness about the project's objectives and outcomes.

Selection Criteria
Education, Experience & Working Knowledge
• At least Intermediate/ Diploma in Agriculture Sciences/Diploma in Technical/Vocational Education.
• At least two years of appropriate experience in a similar capacity.
• Have own smartphone and smoothly operate different Android applications.
• Ability to create data sheets in Excel and operate different Agriculture-related android applications.
• Having own vehicle for field movement and will bear the traveling expenses on its own
