About the role

The Marketing Officer at Pak Mission Society will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission by strategically promoting its initiatives, fostering community engagement, and driving impactful campaigns. Charged with enhancing the NGO's visibility and outreach, the Marketing Officer will design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, utilizing a range of channels to communicate the organization's goals and achievements effectively. Through creative and data-driven approaches, the incumbent will contribute to fundraising efforts, advocate for social causes, and build lasting partnerships, ultimately amplifying Pak Mission Society's positive impact on communities and the broader society. This role is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to utilize their marketing expertise to drive meaningful change and contribute to the transformative initiatives championed by Pak Mission Society.

About the Project

The project seeks to improve the livelihood, protection, freedom and rights of the People We Serve (PWS) including vulnerable protection cases, persons who are Forcibly Displaced or FDPs through RISE approach. The Project RISE (Revitalize, Innovate, Strengthen and Empower) will foster market versed, innovative, locally evolved livelihood avenues for 300 Forcibly Displaced Persons (FDPs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Carpet weaving is the flourishing area for the Home-based businesses (HBBs) in all Afghan Refugees Villages and Urban Clusters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which will be added to contribution in the expansion of the business model. Inclusion is the focus area involving and engaging women and persons who are differently abled in the existing entrepreneurial eco-system. Innovation and digitalization of the carpet weaving industry will be taken into consideration by featuring a Baseline and Market Assessment considering the upstream and downstream value chain of carpet making ecosystem and training the youth especially women in graphic designing, website development and social media handles to complete the product loop from development to marketing.  

Your impactful goals will include

Develop and Implement Marketing Plans:

  • Formulate comprehensive marketing plans aligned with the project's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging marketing trends.

Strategic Communication:

  • Craft and deliver clear, compelling, and consistent messaging across various communication platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of communication strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a strong online presence through social media and other digital platforms.

Brand Management:

  • Safeguard and enhance the organization's brand identity.
  • Develop and enforce brand guidelines for all marketing materials.
  • Ensure that all external communications reflect the organization's values and mission.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Generate high-quality, engaging content for diverse audiences, including articles, press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Manage the organization's website content to keep it current and relevant.
  • Utilize multimedia elements to enhance the visual appeal of marketing materials.

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and campaigns to promote the NGO's initiatives.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to organize and execute successful events.
  • Evaluate the success of events and incorporate feedback into future planning.

Community Engagement:

  • Develop strategies to foster community engagement and participation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate partnerships and collaborations that support the NGO's mission.

Donor and Partner Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to integrate marketing efforts into donor engagement strategies.
  • Provide marketing materials and updates to donors, showcasing the impact of their contributions.

Metrics and Analytics:

  • Implement tools to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns.
  • Generate regular reports on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve outcomes.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of marketing activities.

Advocacy and Public Relations:

  • Advocate for the organization's mission through effective public relations efforts.
  • Work with media outlets to secure coverage and raise awareness about key issues.
  • Represent the organization at public events and engage in public speaking opportunities.

Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential reputational risks.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to negative publicity or misinformation.
  • Work closely with leadership to manage communication during sensitive situations.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Provide training and guidance to staff members on effective marketing and communication strategies.
  • Foster a culture of marketing awareness and communication excellence within the organization.

 What we are looking for:

 Education& Knowledge

  • Master's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

 Work Experience

  • 3 to 4 Years Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

  • A solid understanding of fundamental marketing concepts and strategies.
