2. Background and rationale
LRBT is committed tocreating a better Pakistan bypreventing the suffering caused byblindness and other eye ailments. To this end,LRBT is providingstate-of-the-art comprehensive free eye carefor the poor and deserving in keeping with its traditionsof excellence, efficiency, andCompassion for all.
LRBT is implementing an Inclusive Eye Health project in Rahimyar Khan in collaboration with International donors (CBM-BMZ). The project aims to provide access to improved and inclusive eye health services in South Punjab's Rahimyar Khan district. This is to be achieved by strengthening ophthalmic services at the primary and secondary health level by capacity-building measures for health staff in the region by strengthening self-help groups and self-representative
3. Background for the assignment
· Training of Lady Health Supervisors in Eye Screening and Primary Eye Care:
To achieve access to high-quality, inclusive and comprehensive eye health services at primary and secondary levels, training of eye health staff is an essential component of the program.

Training of OPDs and SHGs on inclusion and Disability rights:
It is essential to ensure that eye care services are inclusive for persons with disabilities. Therefore, capacity building of People with disabilities and their families is organized under the project to raise awareness about inclusion, disability rights and access to inclusive eye health services.
This component of the program caters to both the demand and supply side of the project. The demand for inclusive eye care services is being created in the community through awareness sessions about disability rights, forming Organizations for Persons with Disabilities and Self Help Groups and their training, and coordination meetings with authorities.
The supply side is being ensured by providing essential aids to persons with disabilities, facilitating them in getting National Identity Cards and empowering them through engaging them in various activities including awareness campaigns, healthcare and rehabilitation.

Training of District Health Officialsin disability inclusion
This result is related to the systemic advocacy of health authorities. The district eye health committee has been formulated under the project. Themulti-year eye district inclusive health plan has also been developed by engaging key stakeholders which will help in the smooth implementation of inclusive eye health activities in the district. The training of health officials in disability inclusion will help them understand the various needs of persons with disabilities, raise awareness among government agencies and ensure project sustainability and inclusive practices in the district.
Overall Objectives:
To capacitate health staff, district health Officials,and members of OPDs and SHGS on inclusionand disability rights with reference to the IEH project in RYK
4. Expected results and specific objectives
Training imparted in three disciplines, including:

Eye Screening and Primary Eye Care (by adopting Standard non-refractive conditions (NRC) chart.

Disability Inclusion, the role of OPDs and SHGs in breaking barriers, and ensuring inclusion

Inclusion and disability rights. Role of District health officials in promoting disability inclusive practices.

6. Place /location of service delivered

7. Required Expert Profile:
The Consultant will be required to submit a complete profile with relevant experience.
8. Safeguarding Policy:
As a condition of entering into a consultancy agreement, the consultant/trainer must sign the LRBT’sSafeguarding Policy and abide by the terms and conditions thereof.
